Venust Sinumvayaha was born on Munyinya Hill where he grew up, got married, and where all of his 8 children were born.
This year, 37 farmers from Munyinya joined Venust as one of the Munyinya Hill partner farmers that delivers cherries to an LMC washing station.
Venust is 60 years old and together with his wife Crescence, they grow all different kinds of crops to support themselves and their 4 children who are studying. Coffee is their main source of income.
Venust started to grow coffee when he was 15 years old. At that time, he helped his parents on their farms. They gifted him a coffee plantation with 50 trees on it. Now, he has 4 coffee plantations with 840 trees.
Venust’s life is connected to coffee, he says. He says that all good things that happen to his family are because of coffee.
